Hello,

Tickets will be available through Pershing, they should be available very soon...we are thinking this week. Tickets will be $15 for reserved seating and $20 for VIP seating which will be seating at round tables on the floor of Pershing. These VIP seats will lend to a more intimate atmosphere and of course put you closer to the stage.

Mark, Kourdni Lind, and Gev will all be performing solos at the Showcase event. Additionally, they will each be choreographing a number, which will be performed by dancers who attend the special Choreography Sessions held before Saturday.

SIX HOURS of Marky goodness, plus the opportunity to dance his choreo in a show. And to be backstage with him. And . . .and . . .

There are also Master CLasses being taught on Saturday morning. Here's the schedule:

Intermediate Advanced
Jazz Fusion 9:00 - 10:00 AM Hip Hop 9:00 - 10:00 AM

Contemporary 10:30 - 11:30 AM Jazz Fusion 10:30 - 11:30 AM

LUNCH BREAK 11:30-12:30 PM

Hip Hop 12:30 - 1:30 PM Contemporary 12:30 - 1:30 PM


Intermediate Level - Typically Intermediate dancers are those who are between 8-12. If you are uncertain, please discuss this with your dance teacher or a Dare 2 Dance representative.

Advanced Level - Typically Advanced dancers are those who are 12 and over with studio training. If you are uncertain, please discuss this with your dance teacher or a Dare 2 Dance Representative.

Cost is $40 for one class, $75 for two, and $100 for all three at your level. I'm not sure if they'll let you attend any class like they did in Florida. The observation fee is $25 for the entire day of classes.

SO!! Who is coming with me to this wonderland?? I'm certainly attending Mark's Master Class (both if I can) on Saturday. Am pondering the choreo session . . . please, all you dancers out there -- I have so little current experience with dance. What are these things like? Are peoples' skill levels all over the place? Are ages all over the place? Let me know what y'all think!!!!

EDIT: Whoops! I wrote the times of the choreo sessions incorrectly. They're each 4-10 pm, not 4-6 pm !

VERY EXCITED for you and anyone who gets to go ... mmmm Jelous?? Yup! but Still, VERY EXCITED , it sounds like a GREAT OPPORTUNITY ...

You know, a while back I had a dream that several of us (Sherri, you were there) were in a workshop with Mark with the sole purpose of learning choreography for a show. In my dream, we danced a variation of Beautiful, and Mark took turns partnering everyone (my turn involved a lift ). The end of the dream was all of us on stage, dancing to thunderous applause.

So you can see why this whole thing is kind of surreal for me -- it literally is a dream come true. . .

OMGGGGG You'll have soo much fun i can guarantee it!!


And master class weekends are really fun!its usually in like a hotel ballroom or like gymatoriums and the atmosphere is comfortable. And for skill levels it usually goes by the book, like juniors are about 13, 14, 15 years old and advanced is 16 and up but im an advanced dancer and im only 14 so it really depends on the skill level for that certain convention. Butt and im reading this wrong or is there only one class with each of them, or different levels??

If there is like a junior, advance level system then for you, I would deffinately go for advanced since you have the skater background im very confident that you will do fine on that level but its mainly your decision

And little piece of advice, just remeber that everyones worrying about themselves, no one is going to pay attention to the person next to them when their so immersed in the choreography. I just always need to remind myself that and then i dont get all jittery and self conscience.

Wow, Misty, I am soooo excited for you!! Whatever you decide to do, just get comfortable about it within yourself. You want to truly enjoy this opportunity. But how great for you to get to see Mark dance live one of his awesome solos again! That ALONE and at such an inexpensive price...!
