You know, it's funny. I have these two FB "friends" who are both much older gentlemen, both of whom requested me, and I have no idea who they are! Normally, I wouldn't accept total strangers, but we had "mutual friends" & since they appeared harmless, I added them. Frankly, I never expected them to write on my wall, but they do. Regularly! I had another one request me this week, and I'm like, "HUH?" But I hate to say, this last one was a little younger, so I just ignored. Feel badly about that. I think some people just go around "friending" their friends' friends, but since my sis-in-law did not get friend-requested & we have the same mutual friends in this case, my husband thinks they might go by the picture. I had to exclaim, "You are NOT jealous of these guys surely!" And he shot back, "They may be old, but they're not dead!"

I keep comparing the 2 (and Madonna too) and if she has the staying power, I think the comparison is valid!

Since I don't remember much about Cher (too young), I have been comparing Gaga to what Madonna did in the 80s as well. Except, you can do a lot more with make up, costuming and technology these days than what you could back then. So Gaga still has a "shock" factor that I still need to get over to just enjoy the art. I think that's why I it took so long for me to appreciate the music. ...I'll swim back to the shallow end now.

I googled to find another good Cher outfit and the very first thing listed was a blog comparing Gaga to Cher, and I hadn't typed "Gaga" in the search.
Yup, all 3 had their share of criticism for the shocking stuff, which tends to distract you from the talent. Very curious to see what comes of Gaga in her 40s and beyond.

So, have y'all seen that FB thingy where you shuffle your music player & answer the questions based strictly on the name of the songs as they come up in random order? I was surprised at how many of mine made sense. I wouldn't put them on my FB though, because most there wouldn't fully "get" them. WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU? Poker Face WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS? Kiss Kiss Now, these two made me snicker. WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE? Hit Me, Baby, One More Time WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET? Underneath But THIS ONE was so perfect I had to WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN? Photograph Why, whatever could that mean??!? Ohhhhhhhh, busted!!

My older daughter, who is almost 5, has been nicknamed Lady Gaga by her daycare friends because she is always singing Poker Face and Paparazzi.

There is an "adult" store that I drive past every day. Today, their sign outside reads: "Bad Romance? We can help!"
