MK-O: MARK'S PAGE IN THE TOUR PROGRAM  click above to see a photo of the program page & read the Q&A below: NAME: Mark kanemura DANCE SPECIALITY: Modern Jazz Funk HOMETOWN: Honolulu, HI AUDITION CITY: Los Angeles, CA WHAT WAS THE BEST PART OF BEING ON SYTYCD? The best part was definitely having the opportunity to with such amazing and versatile choreographers and dancers!!! Another awesome part of being on the show is that the show pushes you way past what you think your potential is and helps you realize you are capable of so much more than what you think you are!!! WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM SYTYCD? Ahhhhh... there are so many, but the one that sticks out is waiting to go out on stage for our first taping!!!! I was sooooo overwhelmed I nearly cried 10 times!!! I had to hold it in because if I started crying it would have been that nasty ufly snotty criyng.....and that wouldn't have been good on TV!!! Haha! WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT BEING ON TOUR? I am definitely looking forward to meeting the people that have supported me and being able to perform for them live and give them my thanks in person!!! YIPPEEE!! I am also looking forward to all the travelling!!! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DANCE OF THE SEASON? YOUR LEAST FAVORITE? THE GARDEN!!!!!! Sonya is an alien and I love her and that piece was absolutely meaty and delicious!!!! YUM!!!!!!! Mia and Wade's group pieces were incredibly exhilarating and filled with soooo much character, emotion, creativity, and more yumminess!!!!! The hardest dance...... 2 words ..... TWO STEP!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!! I get nervous thinking about it !!! It was one of the hardest things I had to learn and do!!! HOW DO YOU LIKE TO UNWIND AFTER A PERFORMANCE? Thank God for getting through a show, take deep breaths, enjoy friends, and sometimes just zone out for a bit....haha. BEYOND YOUR SPECIALTY, WHICH DANCE STYLE IS YOUR I LOVE and appreciate Ballroom and Latin Ballroom!!! The language of all these styles amazes me and stimulates all of these feelings inside!!! Its so beautiful, sensual, and elegant!!!! WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT DANCING? EAT!!! I love eating!!! I also have an ddiction to i-tunes!!! I love being with my family and friends!!! I try to read when I can, sudoku can also be an addiction sometimes!!! WHAT DID/DO YOU MISS MOST FROM BACK HOME? Gosh, there is soooo much I miss from home..... my family, friends, spam musubi's, the beach, the air, the ocean, the food, the colors, teaching at 24-7, driving... so many things!!!!! IS THERE SOMETHING SPECIAL YOU'LL BE BRINGING ON YOU TOUR WITH YOU? My i-pod which fills me with all that musical goodness and inspiration!! A journal would be a good idea too....l but I'm horrible at keeping one!!! Sigh! WHO OF THE PREVIOUS SYTYCD DANCERS DO YOU ADMIRE MOST? WHY? After going through "SYTYCD Summer Dance Camp 2008", I admire and respect ALL of the dancers!!!!! The process is no joke!!! It is extremely challenging in many aspects and sometimes brutal. Anyone who makes it and survives is someone I genuinely respect and admire!!!! SIGNATURE: Thank you for ALL the love and support. I am sooooo appreciative and extremely grateful!!! SERVE!!!
